Klimbim
We are very proud of our alumnus Lou Lenert, whose project KLIMBIM shows how the little things in everyday life can make a big difference. His work is a wonderful example of how thoughtful design and dedication can turn simple ideas into meaningful, practical solutions.
Lou describes his project himself:
What is KLIMBIM?
KLIMBIM is an innovative project dedicated to improving and simplifying everyday situations.
Our Goal
To make daily life safer, more comfortable, and more stress-free for our loved ones by offering well designed, practical solutions.
The Idea Behind KLIMBIM
At the heart of KLIMBIM lies the desire to tackle small everyday challenges with intelligent, functional tools. This is how KLIMBIM was created developing products that truly make a difference.
Our Products
Car Exit Aid:
• Provides enhanced safety and stability when getting out of the car—ideal for older adults or individuals with limited mobility.
Shopping Bag Carrying Aid:
• No more sharp, cutting handles or sore hands. This tool makes carrying bags comfortable, ergonomic, and effortless.
How the Project Came to Life
This project was developed at the Lycée des Arts et Métiers. It originated last year, within a course centered around the theme of wood. The task was to design a product that offers real added value and has the potential to be manufactured by the company Ligue HMC, under the guidance of Jan Humbert in the woodworking workshop.
This vision became reality: KLIMBIM grew from a simple concept into a fully functional product that is now produced and sold. Throughout the process, the concept was refined and improved multiple times in collaboration with teachers Gilles Gardula and Paul Winandy. Surveys were conducted to ensure that KLIMBIM would provide genuine and meaningful value.
